Taiga festival

The festival is organized by Pacific Russia Tourism Alliance and is held in collaboration with restaurants, tourist agencies, taiga foods producers, parks and resorts. The event highlights the significance of the Ussuri taiga history in the culture of the region, takes place in several venues and includes three sections dedicated to gastronomy, tourism and events respectively.

During the 16 days of the festival, special deals on food and drinks made from taiga products are offered for the same price in the participating restaurants. The festival has a rich program: there are lectures, workshops, family events, and lots of other activities. More information is on the fest's website.

International festival “Grab a crab”

Annual king crab festival in Russia. For ten days all Vladivostok restaurants, selling live seafood, serve king crabs from Kamchatka. Before cooking, a crab is weighed and demonstrated to the guest, then the crab is steamed. The organizer of the festival is Zuma restaurant.

International Jazz Festival

International Jazz Festival is a big annual event of the local music scene. The event has been taking place in Vladivostok each year in mid-November since 2004. The festival gathers both the musicians who are just starting out and internationally acclaimed jazzmen from Russia and the world. Marco Minnemann, Dennis Chambers, Billy Cobham, Randy Brecker, Dave Vekl, Mezzoforte, and lots of other stars of jazz have played at the festival. Smelt Fish Festival

Smelt fish festival is an annual event of Pacific Russia food. During the Smelt festival, Vladivostok restaurants offer guests a traditional Pacific Russian dish — fried smelt — served in a classic or a restaurant’s signature way, challenging the superiority of St. Petersburg smelt in Russian gastronomy.

MANDARIN MARKET

It’s not a fruit shop, it’s one of the biggest New Year’s fairs in Vladivostok. Every year since 2013 "Mandarin market" opens its gates for citizens and guests of the capital of Primorsky region. Usually "Mandarin market" involves over 50 local sellers and designers who present their products including clothing, gifts, souvenirs, toys, floristic decorations and more.

Infrastructure of the fair lets people spend a whole day there. The fair has a lounge-zone with food, sweets and drinks. There are also cooking classes and family programs.
